S is for SNOW!

Hi everyone! So sorry it has taken a while to get back into the blogging routine! With a long Christmas break and now this ice storm! It's been CRAZY! What better way to get prepared for the ice storm then to learn about... SNOW!! Our 1 year old friends got to play with REAL snow and feel just how COLD it is! Brrrrrr! We learned that snow is white, comes from the clouds, melts into water and is very, very COLD! We made our own little snowman, painted snowflakes using white paint and Q-tips, painted and explored with bubble wrap, played with sugar cubes in our sensory bin and stuck snow-like items onto contact paper! As far as language development, we learned the word SNOW and read a book about a snowman! We did our large/group motor time in the gym playing with cars and balls! What a busy and fun-filled week! Take a look!

Shape of the month: Oval
Color of the month: White

Meet our NEW friend! He is going to fit right in with the rest of the class!                                                                              We are so blessed to have him!
