Our 1's friends had a BLAST during apple week! It was so fun, that we decided to extend apple week for TWO weeks! It is also one of Miss Ali's favorite weeks of the school year! :) During circle time, we talked about the letter 'A' and what words start with 'A'. We sang the ABC song and sang songs about Apples! We read stories about apples such as, "I Am An Apple" and "Apple Pie." The kids pointed to the apples and learned that they start as seeds and blossom into an apple tree. They grow until they're ready to be picked! They can come in yellow, green and red colors! We dipped apples into paint and used them as stamps, made apple handprints, apple paper plates, apple coffee filters and so much more! We made apple pie one day and created an apple pie sensory bin consisting of oats, cinnamon and apples! The kids loved exploring this outside! Take a look at our FUN week!
