The past week and a half, our class learned about Turkeys and Thanksgiving! We read stories about turkeys, played in a fun sensory bin filled with cheerios, gourds, and feathers, and worked on our fine motor skills by giving our class turkey Tom his feathers! We sang turkey songs such as "Hello Mr. Turkey" sung to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it!" The kids all loved singing and dancing to these fun songs! Our shape and color of the month is a brown square so during circle and Jesus time we practice "checking in" with our picture on the shape/color of the month! The kids are able to practice putting a name to a face with all their classmates!
The kids participated in several art projects over the week and a half! We made turkey tracks by dipping pipe cleaners into paint, coloring "T is for Turkey" sheets, making a turkey footprint and handprint, and so much more! We got to spend plenty of time outside going on walks and playing on the playground! Take a look at our fun few weeks! Gobble, Gobble!
